As a Security Officer - Network Operations Patrol Driver in Chesapeake, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed, driving Patrol Officer at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service with clear communication and customer-focused support. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors while carrying out site-specific procedures, access control, and/or emergency response activities at a technology and communications location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, contacting appropriate resources, and completing required notifications.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy concerns.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other site systems as assigned, reporting security-related concerns and coordinating with on-site staff and/or local responders when needed.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities in written and/or electronic reports, including maintaining logs and communicating updates to supervisors and oncoming officers.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
