Overview

Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a Senior Linux Systems Engineer to support the Federal Reserve Board.



Responsibilities

    Design, administer, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems, ensuring stability, security, and rapid recovery from system failures.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Ansible, Terraform, and Ansible Automation Platform to support enterprisewide operations.
  • Implement and support secure authentication and authorization solutions, including Centrify and Kerberos.
  • Administer and maintain Splunk infrastructure (indexers, search heads, and forwarders) to support centralized logging and monitoring.
  • Manage AWS cloud environments, including EC2, S3, and FSx for NetApp, integrating cloud and onprem solutions.
  • Perform NetApp storage administration, including ONTAP upgrades, CIFS/NFS configuration, and data replication using SnapMirror and SnapVault.
  • Collaborate across teams on multiple projects, provide clear technical communication, and participate in an oncall rotation to support ongoing operations.


Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship is required per contract to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
  • Experience with design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot system failures and restore systems to working condition
  • Experience with Centrify and Kerberos for server authentication.
  • Experience with Splunk infrastructure administration (indexers, search-heads, forwarders)
  • Experience with AWS cloud technologies like Simple Storage Service (S3), and EC2.
  • Experience with configuring and troubleshooting CIFS and NFS shares off of NetApp storage
  • Experience with SnapVault and SnapMirror technologies, including configuration and reporting
  • Experience maintaining and upgrading NetApp OnTap to newer versions
  • Experience with cloud technologies like FSx for NetApp.
  • Creative problem solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task as workload demands
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation to maintain existing operations

Desired:

  • Experience with Ansible and Terraform for server automation and configuration management.
  • Experience administering and supporting Ansible Automation Platform for enterprise-wide use.
  • Highly Desired: Experience with NetApp storage platform administration
  • Ability to work as a member of a team working on a variety of diverse projects

Salary: $166,209 - $174,957
