Mission Integration Department Manager

a.i solutions is seeking a highly motivated Mission Integration Department Manager with a passion for aerospace to join our Expendable Launch Vehicle Integrated Support 3 (ELVIS 3) team at Kennedy Space Center. Essential Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day leadership of the Mission Integration (MI) team ensuring exceptional delivery of products and services to our customers. Lead the team in meeting the ELVIS 3 and customers vision, mission and strategic goals. Produce high-quality results that always meet and most often exceed expectations.
• Continuously engage, collaborate and communicate with customer leadership and with the MI team to ensure needs and requirements are being met, gain insight into team member performance and resolve performance issues
• Continually develop team members through coaching, mentoring and training, meeting frequently to exchange feedback, set performance goals, resolve issues and help to strengthen team member capabilities. Recognize and reward team members.
• Actively participate as a key member of the ELVIS 3 leadership team in contract planning/budgeting, decision making, staffing, risk management, briefings to the customers, and special contract and business initiatives. Continually communicate and collaborate with peers and keep the leadership team informed of evolving issues that potentially impact the customer or contract performance.
• Seek out opportunities to continually improve and innovate ELVIS 3 and customer products, processes and services
• Ensure effective business and resource management for the MI organization. Provide for the appropriate staffing, initiate staffing actions and recruiting, respond to customer staffing proposals, and plan for succession.

Minimum Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizen
• Successful completion of NASA's NACI background investigation process
• Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of successfully managing people - NASA experience is a plus

Desired Background:

• Familiarity with NASA's Launch Services Program
• Strong desire to lead people, inspire and foster team commitment and trust
