As a Security Guard - Hospital Roving Driver in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service and clear communication. Why Join Us: What You'll Do: - Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including providing assistance with de-escalation and requesting additional resources when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and parking areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related or maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, check-in processes as assigned, and access control procedures in accordance with site policy.
- Observe and report suspicious activity, unsecured doors, unauthorized persons, and policy violations, escalating concerns through the established chain of communication.
- Operate and monitor security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, radios, and key control processes as assigned, reporting malfunctions or irregularities.
- Provide security-related support during medical or facility emergencies by following post orders, assisting with crowd control, and helping to maintain clear routes for clinical operations.
- Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other documentation in a timely manner with accurate, objective details.
- Support privacy and confidentiality expectations by limiting disclosure of sensitive information and following site guidance when interacting with patients and families.
- Coordinate with Allied Universal supervision and site leadership to communicate conditions, follow directives, and participate in shift briefings and post updates.
- Assist with security-related escorts for staff, visitors, and/or contractors when requested and permitted by site policy.
- Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
Minimum Requirements: - A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
