As a Security Officer - Fulfillment Center Patrol in ROSEVILLE, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support smooth operations for team members and visitors. You will document activity, respond to calls for service, and communicate clearly and respectfully. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the warehouse, loading docks, trailer parking areas, perimeter fencing and common areas to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor access points such as guard shacks, gates and employee entrances; verify credentials, issue visitor badges and/or passes and maintain entry and exit logs per site policy.
  • Control vehicle flow in the yard and at dock areas as assigned, directing drivers to designated lanes, staging areas and/or check-in points.
  • Perform security-related checks of doors, dock bays, gates and lighting; report hazards, damage and/or unusual conditions to the appropriate contact.
  • Observe CCTV, alarm panels and/or other surveillance systems when assigned; document and report suspicious activity per site procedures.
  • Complete routine reports, incident reports and shift logs in a timely manner, including documenting patrol findings, deliveries and/or access activity.
  • Support loss prevention efforts by monitoring for theft, tampering and/or unauthorized removal of property; notify management and law enforcement as directed.
  • Communicate professionally with employees, contractors, drivers and visitors to provide directions, answer questions and address concerns within the scope of post orders.
  • Assist with emergency and evacuation procedures as assigned, including traffic control, perimeter control and/or accountability support at designated assembly areas.
  • Operate Allied Universal and client communication tools such as radios, phones and/or computer systems to relay status updates and receive assignments.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 2+ years of security experience.
  • CPR/First Aid is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
