Security Officer - Manufacturing Facility

As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Facility in Lansing, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, and support visitor and staff check-in while maintaining clear communication and customer service. You will conduct routine rounds, document security-related activity, and collaborate with site teams to help reduce unauthorized access. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license per AU Driver Policy Requirements, with a culture built on integrity, teamwork, and care.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, vendors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control access to the location by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing sign-in logs, and directing visitors to approved destinations.
• Monitor entry and exit points, loading areas, and restricted zones to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items.
• Operate access control systems, badge readers, and related screening equipment in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including dispatching assistance and coordinating with clinical staff and/or local responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including interior corridors, parking areas, and exterior approaches. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
• Complete security-related reports, incident documentation, and shift logs with clear, timely, and accurate information.
• Provide directions and general assistance while maintaining professional boundaries and supporting a positive patient and visitor experience.
• Observe and report unusual activity, policy violations, and/or hazards to site management and Allied Universal supervision.
• Support access control during special events, peak visiting hours, and after-hours operations by adjusting screening and entry procedures as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
