As a Security Officer Armed Credit Union Patrol in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and service needs with calm, clear communication. You will deliver customer-focused assistance while documenting observations and coordinating with site leaders and first responders as needed. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation and prompt notification to management and/or local authorities as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, drive lanes, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Control access to the location by monitoring entry points, verifying identification and/or authorization, and directing visitors to the appropriate area.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems when assigned, and take appropriate action based on post orders and location procedures.
  • Complete detailed reports on shift activities, patrol findings, incidents, and/or policy exceptions in accordance with Allied Universal standards and location requirements.
  • Carry and maintain assigned equipment in accordance with licensing requirements, training, and post orders, and follow all applicable use of force and reporting guidelines.
  • Support opening and closing procedures when assigned, including checking doors, gates, restricted areas, and key control measures to help to reduce unauthorized access.
  • Provide visible presence in customer-facing areas while maintaining a professional demeanor and assisting with directions and general questions as needed.
  • Coordinate with Allied Universal leadership and location management on security-related concerns, special events, and/or changes in site conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • - Have at least 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • - Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • - CPR Certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • - Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • - Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • - Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • - Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • - Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • - Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • - A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
