As a Security Officer - Mall Vehicle Patrol Driver in Paramus, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail mall location, you will complete routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support guests and retailers with professional service and clear communication. Why Join Us: What You'll Do: - Provide customer service to guests, tenants, and property management by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout interior common areas, exterior walkways, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or policy concerns.
- Observe and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and hazards, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, trespassing concerns, medical calls, and/or property damage, and request assistance from local responders when needed.
- Monitor cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems as assigned, and take appropriate action based on post orders and escalation protocols.
- Provide access control support at designated entrances, service corridors, and/or loading areas by verifying credentials, directing visitors, and documenting deliveries as required by site procedures.
- Assist with customer-focused incident support such as lost child protocols, escort requests, and/or tenant requests while maintaining professionalism and clear communication.
- Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written reports and logs, including accurate times, locations, and actions taken, and submit required documentation before end of shift.
- Support special events, peak traffic periods, and/or closing procedures by maintaining a visible presence, coordinating with property staff, and following site-specific procedures for after-hours activity.
Minimum Requirements: - Have at least 1 year of security experience.
- Be 21+ years of age.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
