What to Expect
The manufacturing automation development engineering team is looking for an extremely organized and detail-oriented procurement specialist to support project hardware procurement strategies and processes. The procurement specialist works within a cross-functional team of engineers and engineering technicians to procure hardware against project deadlines, track purchase orders, follow up with vendors on lead times and deliveries, receive, organize, and prepare materials for equipment builds. You will interact with vendors to select the best pricing and lead time in accordance with project budgets and timelines, and to ensure on time delivery of components. The procurement specialist will also work closely with our shop planner to pick up, receive, organize, and store materials in preparation for project builds, and to maintain our inventory system.

What You'll Do
  • Quote and procure materials and hardware for projects
  • Review and select best procurement options
  • Monitor lead-time, track deliveries, and resolve invoices or supplier issues efficiently
  • Track purchase orders, direct follow up with vendors on deliveries, challenge suppliers to expedite delivery dates to meet critical project timelines
  • Responsible for receiving, organizing, and stocking materials as well as updating our inventory systems and project BOM trackers
  • Pull BOM components from inventory and project cages to make kits required for mechanical and electrical assembly of projects
  • Help maintain the 5S standards of our spares inventory space and of project cages
  • Create and manage adhocs for equipment shipments as required

What You'll Bring
  • Experience in warehouse/inventory processes and systems
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail oriented
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Familiar with procurement, MRP, and inventory systems
  • Proficient in MS Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and can communicate with technical and non-technical team members effectively
  • Associate's or technical degree preferred
