Overview
Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO+I) is the business unit responsible for operating Microsoft'scloudand the Datacenter Construction Delivery (DCD) teamis responsible forconstructing datacenter capacity. We have a portfolio of complex, multi-disciplinary, multi-million, multi-year datacenter construction and lease projects underway. The role of the Data Center Integration and Technical Infrastructure Manager (ITIM) requires strong interpersonal,communicationand organizational skills. We are seeking a Program Manager with the ability to self-direct and who has a strong background in Data Center Construction & Fit-out projects, with an emphasis on passive telecom infrastructure/construction management. The DCITIMis responsible forthe program management of all integration and technical infrastructure fit-out activities associated with MSFT owned system and/or services and critical infrastructure thatis required tobe installed into new data center builds or lease facilities to deliver capacity to the business in the Northern Virginia metro. The role requires the identification and management of scopes and interdependencies between all external and internal stakeholders and coordinatingsamewith the physical construction build and general contractor.The DCITIMis responsible forcoordinating the handover process and ensuring the required handover documentation and expectations are met tohandoverthe space to our Operations teams and the business. DC ITIMis responsible forproducing and managing project plans and executing major milestones (Early Access, Ready Network Install, Corpnet Live, Security CX Complete, Fit Out Complete, Lockdown, Colo Ready) and for the financial approval and management function. This position will be based inCharlotte, North Carolina,and will have responsibilityofleading DCI scope of work for multipleBuildprojects across theCharlottemetro. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years related experience OR equivalent experience. Abilityto meet Microsoft,customerand/or government security screening requirements arerequiredfor this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will berequiredto pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Additional or Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 8+ years related experience OR equivalent experience. 7+years experienceworking on data center projects. PMI (Project Management Institute) - PMP (Project Management Professional) certification highly desired BICSI RCDD or similar Telecommunications Design/Installation Experience preferred. Experience managing large scale data center projects with both localized and virtual teams. Client or Contractor side Datacenter construction or management experience. #COICareers #EPCCareers Construction Project Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
