Position Summary

Join Trideum's small but high-impact Systems Engineering team as a Mid-Level Systems Engineer and help shape the future of military aviation. In this role, you'll contribute to the development of a cutting-edge Human-Machine Interface (HMI) for an uncrewed aircraft system bringing clarity, usability, and mission effectiveness to operators in the field.

You'll work across the full product lifecycle, driving requirements definition, integration, and verification, while collaborating closely with UX design and software teams. Whether or not you have Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience, your ability to think holistically, communicate effectively, and deliver actionable insights will make you a key contributor to the program's success.

This is an opportunity for a systems thinker who thrives in a team-oriented environment, values creativity and innovation, and wants to make a tangible impact. You'll help conceptualize solutions and define system behavior all while balancing technical rigor with program objectives.

  • Configuration & Change Control: Manage baselines, changes, and versioning across systems artifacts and models.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with UI/UX designers, software developers, and program leadership to align technical solutions with operational needs.
  • Innovation & Insight: Provide creative, impactful input to improve system usability and performance.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain engineering artifacts such as Systems Requirements Specifications, Software Development Plans, and Requirement Matrices.
  • MBSE (Optional): If experienced, apply SysML modeling and MBSE practices to enhance system representation and analysis.
  • Travel occasionally to customer sites or for team collaboration as required.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3 - 7 years of experience in systems engineering or related discipline.

  • Ability to work effectively in a small team environment and communicate across disciplines.
  • US citizenship with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Human-Machine Interface (HMI) design or development.
  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methods (e.g., SysML, Cameo/MagicDraw).
  • Experience in defense or aerospace programs.
  • Knowledge of software development processes and UI/UX principles.
  • Hands-on integration and test experience.
