Project Manager 1 - Contract

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Project Manager for a 7+ month contract opportunity. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days a week onsite, located in Pittsburgh, PA; Strongsville, OH; Dallas, TX; Cincinnati, OH; Miamisburg, OH; Downers Grove, IL; Overland Park, KS; Philadelphia, PA; Columbus, OH; Little Rock, AR; or Jacksonville, FL.
Compensation: $45-50/hr

Summary:

The main function is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming. The role involves managing smaller budget projects and consulting with users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess computing needs and system requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and facilitate project meetings.
• Manage project risks and issues.
• Collaborate closely with business sponsors.
• Facilitate the client's project management process.
• Review project financials.
• Meet with department heads, managers, supervisors, vendors, and others to solicit cooperation and resolve problems.
• Provide users with technical support for computer problems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 1-3 years of project management experience.
• Strong understanding of project management fundamentals.
• Financial management experience with projects ranging from $250K to $1.5 million.
• Experience with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software.

Desired skills:

• PMI or PMP certification.
• Banking industry experience.
• Experience with Asset Liability Management (ALM).
• Experience in Capital Markets.
• Basic knowledge of computer software, such as Visual Basic, Java, SQL, etc.
