POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manufacturing Engineering Manager II is responsible for all aspects of engineering to support production at the production facility located in West Chester, PA. This leadership role heavily contributes to achievement of the key performance indicators established for Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. Strong technical capability, leadership skills, and effective use of the Regal Rexnord Business System (RBS) to continually improve the team's performance are critical to being successful in this role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Along with those identified below, other duties may be assigned.

  • Lead and manage the Manufacturing Engineering team to ensure efficient production of electric motors
  • Oversee process design, optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives to achieve quality standards and improve productivity
  • Develop and implement manufacturing strategies aligned with company goals and industry best practices
  • Collaborate with R&D, Quality Assurance, and production teams to transition new motor designs into scalable manufacturing processes
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining product performance and reliability
  • Manage equipment selection, Capital Appropriation Request process, installation, Factory Acceptance Testing, and maintenance to support advanced motor manufacturing
  • Monitor production metrics, perform structured problem solving, and implement corrective actions to improve yield, scrap, throughput, and productivity
  • Act as the manufacturing liaison to the change management process to ensure the cross-functional team - Sourcing, Quality, R&D - are prioritizing and executing appropriately
  • Support the Supplier Change Request process by working with Quality Assurance and our end-customers to identify, develop, and execute validation plans.
  • Provide technical guidance, professional development, and mentorship to engineers and technicians
  • Utilize the Regal Rexnord Business System methodology to continuously improve our processes via Daily Management and by leading and facilitating Kaizen events

COMPETENCIES:

  • Expertise in precision manufacturing processes - e.g., machining, assembly, balancing, laser welding, testing
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing or similar continuous improvement methodologies

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM tools
  • Strong applied knowledge of GD&T
  • Ability to analyze complex technical problems and implement effective solutions
  • Strong analytical and data analysis capability
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities
  • Familiarity with quality systems such as ISO 9001 and AS9100
  • Understanding of automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing technologies
  • Ability to manage the day-to-day work and long-term technical development of Manufacturing Engineers
  • Willingness to work hours to support 2nd shift or weekend production as needed

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering required, Masters/Advance certifications preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with 3+ years in a leadership role
  • Proven track record in high-precision motor or electromechanical component manufacturing
  • Experience with electric motor production processes strongly preferred
  • Hands-on experience with lean manufacturing, process optimization, and advanced quality control methods
  • Background in managing cross-functional teams and complex manufacturing projects
  • Union knowledge and understanding, preferred
