Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!

This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.

We are seeking a Level 3 Fluids Engineer to join our team. This position involves developing, testing, and implementing fluid systems for our aerospace projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in fluids and thermal systems, engineering principles, and the ability to work in a collaborative environment. • Develop and validate models of fluid systems using relevant software tools.

  • Conduct experiments and analyze data to understand system and component performance.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate fluid systems into aerospace vehicles.

  • Prepare technical documentation and present findings to stakeholders.

  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical input for continuous improvement.

  • Good project management skills are vital, including vendor management, scheduling, and budget tracking

  • Knowledge of typical use, constraints, and specification offluid components typical in tubing and piping systems (valves, regulators, pumps, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with teams composed of multiple roles and disciplines to achieve a common goal.
  • Knowledge of 3D CAD programs (Creo preferred) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) programs (ANSYS Preferred)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting mechanical and/or piping systems.
  • Experience with creating process hazards analyses, job hazards analysis and formal risk evaluation.
  • Experience with design and operation of typical aerospace fuel, oxidizer, and high-pressure pneumatic systems.
  • Experience with design, operations, and maintenance of cryogenic systems.
  • Knowledge of precision cleaning processes / levels and passivation of stainless steel
  • Knowledge of marine environment corrosion mitigation (material and coatings selection)
