Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work safely and take action to prevent all unsafe actions, processes, and behaviors
- Prepare regular balance sheet reconciliations including subledger to ledger, intercompany, cash, and others
- Use Excel to prepare journal entries, analyze for reasonability, post to JDE, then review
- Work under SOX controls and track compliance
- Research and resolve issues working with operations and other accounting staff
- Support the Assistant Controller in any accounting functions as needed
- Coordinate efforts on projects including new software initiatives, operational accounting support, regional standardization, etc.
- Find ways to improve processes
- Must maintain confidentiality of financial data
- Must always maintain the highest level of moral and ethical standards
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment with a positive attitude and solid work ethic
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with emphasis in accounting and 5+ years of relevant experience
- Well-developed analytical, accounting, and financial skills
- High ethical and moral standards
- Meticulous attention to accuracy and detail
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience in the construction industry
- Experience with reconciliations, journal entries, and month end close process
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficient in Excel
- Experience with JDE or other ERP systems
- Solid problem solving
- Clear oral and written communication
- Good time management and organization
- Practiced in self-motivation
