Get to Know Your Team:

  • Portneuf Medical Center (PMC) is a nationally recognized healthcare leader with 205 beds, serving as the region's Level II Trauma Center and tertiary referral hospital and is home to the Portneuf Heart and Vascular Institute, Portneuf Cancer Center, Portneuf Medical Group and Portneuf Air Rescue. PMC has a Level III neonatal intensive care unit, an adult intensive care unit, nationally recognized orthopedic services, a full suite of cardiac care, Center of Excellence recognized surgeons, imaging, primary and specialty care.

Responsibilities

  • The Program Secretary is responsible for providing clerical support and office management to the inpatient adult unit within Behavioral Health Services.
  • The Secretary provides a communication hub for a working inpatient service, managing communication systems for the telephones, written documentation, and the electronic medical record.
  • The Secretary manages office supplies, patient supplies, and some clinical supplies.
  • Assists in coordinating clinical visitors for patient assessment and treatment processes.
  • Has a great responsibility in coordinating the legal process and documentation of the Protective Custody process and Mental Health Court Hearings.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • High school graduation or GED.

  • One year of secretarial or office management experience.

  • Mental and emotional requirements: manage stress appropriately, make decisions under pressure, manage anger/fear/hostility/violence of others appropriately, handle multiple priorities, and the ability to work alone

  • Computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, Electronic medical records software.
  • Ability to work varied shifts
