Job Overview

As a Security Engineering Intern on the Security Development team, you will contribute to building and maintaining secure software solutions and tools that enable internal teams to interact with cloud resources and applications securely. This internship offers hands-on experience in software development and security practices within a modern cloud environment, providing exposure to secure coding, automation, and security tooling.

Job Description and Requirements

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist in designing and building security products to establish best-in-class cloud security.
  • Develop and improve automation for vulnerability detection and remediation.
  • Support implementation of secure coding practices and static analysis tests.
  • Collaborate with engineers to identify and remediate misconfigured cloud deployments.
  • Participate in improving Identity and Access Management services and tooling.
  • Operate and maintain security tools and products developed by the team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current student or recent graduate pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Cybersecurity.
  • Experience with security concepts such as vulnerability management or penetration testing.
  • Exposure to automation tools or scripting for security tasks.
  • Understanding of software development fundamentals and ability to code in at least one general-purpose language (e.g., C#, Java, Python).
  • Passion for security and eagerness to learn secure development practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure preferred).

This position is eligible for total compensation which includes a competitive base salary, an annual performance bonus, and long-term incentives.

The expected salary range for this role is between following values:

$43,000 and $55,000

The final offered salary will be based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's depth of experience, skill set, qualifications, and internal pay equity. Hiring at the top end of the range would not be typical, to allow for future meaningful salary growth in this position.
