Tool Room Technician "A"- 2nd Shift

Description

2nd Shift Hours: 1:00pm-9:00pm or 3:00pm-11:00pm (some schedule flexibility allowed)

1st Priority - Daily Execution
(Key Tasks)
* Setup and removal of molds in production equipment in order to perform necessary maintenance and PM activities
* Program and Operate all Tool Room Equipment
* Make alterations to existing molds, fixtures, and tooling in support of design changes

* Proficient in programming and operating CNC mills, surface grinders, and manual lathes

* Maintain a safe working environment in the tool room for others conducting work in the tool room
* Group Leader responsibilities as assigned

2nd Priority - Mold Repairs/Maintenance
(Key Tasks)
* Mold & Die disassembly & reassembly to support changeovers or repairs.
* Coordinate and track Mold tool repairs through CMMS (eMaint)
Participate in RCFA on damaged tools from production

3rd Priority - Continuous Improvement - Reduce Cost
(Key Tasks)
* Train and Mentor
* Surface Problems
* Utilize PDCA to solve problems and drive improvements
* 5S

Education
* Journeyman Tool and Die maker, or 7 plus years experience in a tool and die or mold shop
* Knowledge and use of CNC controls

Experience
* 2-4 years experience in machining operations/Building fixtures
* Basic Computer Skills
* Experience/Exposure to Injection Molds is a plus
