Shifts Available: Days

Employment Type: Per Diem (PD/PRN)

Hours: Varied 8am to 4:30pm, 2 weekend day shift a month and part of the Holiday rotation

Location: St Joseph Medical Center - Kansas City, MO

As a PT, you'll assess and treat individuals who have conditions that limit movement, function, or quality of life. Physical Therapist develop comprehensive rehabilitation plans tailored to each patient's unique needs, utilizing your expertise in therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and advanced modalities to promote healing and recovery. Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

  • Perform in-depth assessments to understand patient conditions, establish baselines, and identify therapy goals.
  • Collaborate with patients to design and implement personalized rehabilitation strategies aimed at restoring strength, function, and mobility.
  • Facilitate physical therapy sessions using exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities like ultrasound or electrical stimulation to enhance recovery.
  • Regularly evaluate patient progress, modifying treatment plans as necessary to achieve therapeutic goals effectively.
  • Provide guidance on exercises, home programs, and lifestyle changes that support ongoing recovery and prevent future injuries.
  • Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic, coordinated approach to patient care.


Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:

  • Bachelor/ Masters/ Doctorate/Certificate degree in Physical Therapy
  • Current state Physical Therapy license
  • Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
