INVISTA is seeking a Facility/Maintenance Contractor Planner for its Nylon 6,6 Polymer and Cordura Fiber Plant in Camden, SC. The role of the Maintenance Planner is to improve work force productivity and quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through effective job plans that account for correct allocation of maintenance resources, parts, materials, and equipment.

Responsibilities include planning of all maintenance activities performed at the site that could include day-to-day or outage/overhaul planning. The primary focus for this planner will be development of plans for work involving construction, welding, scaffolding/insulation, excavation and facility maintenance.

What You Will Do

  • The Facility/Maintenance Planner assists Operations with balancing their needs for runtime requirements and equipment reliability by identifying pro-active maintenance solutions.
  • Planning and scheduling for overhauls or shutdowns (major and minor), utilizing tools such as Gantt charts (Microsoft Project), Critical Path Analysis, and resource leveling.
  • Development of Planner reference systems including a file of Planned Job Packages for recurring jobs, standard job tasks plus labor and material libraries for each piece of equipment.
  • Ensure Work Orders are meaningful, accurate and valid historical data is captured in SAP.
  • Create or correct Bills of Materials (parts lists) for assets as needed.
  • Keeps the Maintenance Team Leaders informed of abnormal or critical situations and seeks advice on matters outside the Planner's knowledge or authority.
  • Effectively managing relationships with key stakeholders, including Maintenance and Operations Team Leaders, Reliability Engineers, and Operations Leadership.
  • Demonstrates high initiative, attention to detail, and ability to work safely and efficiently as a team and independently.
  • Collaborate with procurement and inventory management for timely availability of parts.
  • Working from heights and in confined spaces.
  • Willing and able to wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (i.e. hard hat, safety glasses, face shields, ear plugs, steel-toe boots, and other job-specific PPE).
  • Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment.
  • Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, and pushing/pulling for occasionally twelve hours a day.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • High School Diploma, GED or higher
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, or military environment
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint experience
  • Experience with computer maintenance management system (CMMS) such as SAP PM, Maximo, and/or HexagonEAM (Camden uses SAP)
  • Experience applying maintenance best practices, reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), and/or preventive maintenance (PM)
  • Experience applying safety standards and regulatory compliance relevant to manufacturing and maintenance

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience in Maintenance Planning role in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Experience repairing manufacturing machinery and/or electrical equipment (i.e. pumps, valves, motors, transmitters)
  • Experience with mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems
  • Experience interpreting technical drawings, equipment manuals, and maintenance procedures
  • Experience with construction activities including roofing, excavations, or welding
  • Associates degree or higher in Project Management, Business, or technical field
