Your Job

The Business Unit Digital Program Manager will lead and drive digital transformation initiatives within the automotive Tier I business unit, ensuring seamless integration and optimization of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), MES (Manufacturing Execution System), PLM (Product Lifecycle Management), and Labeling & Packaging system solutions. This role acts as a bridge between business strategy and technology execution to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, ensure compliance, improve traceability, and support innovation across the BU and throughout the product lifecycle and supply chain.

This role can be filled in either Grand Blanc, MI or Lisle, IL.

What You Will Do

Program Management

  • Lead end-to-end digital programs aligning with business strategies focused on Tier I automotive standards for ERP, MES, PLM, and Labeling & Packaging system implementations and enhancements.
  • Develop program roadmaps, milestones, budgets, and resource plans to ensure high-quality and timely delivery.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including IT, manufacturing, engineering, quality, sales, and supply chain to ensure collaborative execution.
  • Proactively manage risks, issues, and change control with senior leadership involvement.

ERP

  • Drive ERP initiatives focusing on process standardization, data integrity, and system enhancements critical to automotive Tier I operations.
  • Work closely with ERP architects and vendors to tailor solutions supporting procurement, inventory, order management, finance, and supplier collaboration.
  • Ensure ERP systems comply with automotive-specific requirements such as traceability and supplier quality management.
  • Ensure ERP integration with MES, PLM, and labeling & packaging systems to enable unified data management.

MES

  • Oversee MES initiatives enhancing real-time production visibility, scheduling, quality management, and compliance.
  • Facilitate MES integration with ERP, PLM, and labeling & packaging systems for automated workflows and data synchronization.

PLM

  • Integrate PLM with ERP, MES, and labeling & packaging systems to maintain a consistent product data repository and lifecycle governance.

Labeling & Packaging

  • Lead digital initiatives for labeling and packaging systems that comply with automotive industry standards, including GS1, AIAG, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure labeling and packaging solutions integrate seamlessly with ERP, MES, and PLM platforms to support traceability, serialization, version control, and quality.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Partner with business unit leaders, manufacturing plants, engineering, quality, and IT to align digital initiatives with operational needs.
  • Provide transparent and regular program updates, presentations, and demonstrations to senior leadership and external partners.
  • Lead change management efforts to drive adoption and maximize value realization from new digital tools.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Identify and implement opportunities to optimize processes across ERP, MES, PLM, labeling, and packaging systems.
  • Stay updated on automotive industry trends, digital technologies, and best practices in labeling and packaging automation.
  • Support pilot programs and scale successful digital innovations throughout the business unit.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related fields.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale digital programs involving ERP, MES, PLM, and labeling & packaging system solutions in automotive Tier I manufacturing environments.
  • Deep understanding of automotive industry standards, supply chain workflows, quality compliance, and regulatory labeling requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP (e.g., QAD, SAP, Oracle), MES, PLM (e.g., Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill), and labeling & packaging platforms/technologies.
  • Experience with labeling standards such as GS1, AIAG, and automotive-specific serialization and traceability.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence at all organizational levels.
  • Domestic and international travel of 20%.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Advanced degree or MBA.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Advanced program management skills or PMP equivalent program management certification preferred.

For this role, we anticipate paying $120,000 - $150,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
