Join theChild Life team at Golisano Childrens HospitalinFort Myers, FLand help children and families navigate hospital experiences with care, play, and compassion. Although certification is preferred, candidates who havecompleted their 600 hour internship can join our team and sit for the CCLS certification exam within the first 12 months.

Provide evidence-based, developmentally and psychologically appropriate interventions including therapeutic play, preparation and education that support and reduce fear, anxiety and pain for infants, children, youth and families. Promotes the philosophy of family-centered care and meets the psychosocial needs of children and families during their hospital experience.

Completion of a minimum of 600 hour Child Life Internship Required.

Child Life Certification required to obtain within 12 months of hire. BLS required to obtain within 3 months of hire.

Qualified Candidates: Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) or certification-eligible, with a completed 600-hour child life internship.
