MTSI is searching for a senior Systems DevSecOps Engineer to support the development of first-of-a-kind space vehicles and missions. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced candidate with a strong background in Agile methodologies, cloud deployments, and cybersecurity. This handpicked candidate must possess technical expertise and experience with developing, designing, building, and integrating space hardware and software. In this position, you will provide System Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) to the Space Rapid Capabilities Office (RCO). The Space RCO program office, located at Kirtland AFB, NM, is a small, streamlined organization with dedicated, organic acquisition support functions that are critical in enabling the rapid response required for classified space programs. The mission is to develop and deliver operationally dominant space capabilities at the speed of warfighting relevance. A successful candidate should be a leader and problem solver with a proven ability to deliver superior results as part of a high-performing team in a high-profile, fast-paced environment Systems DevSecOps Engineer Principal Duty You will work in a small, highly empowered team where every team member is directly responsible for the success of the program. Engineering responsibilities span technology domains including space rated hardware, software, sensors, and processors in an extremely fast-paced, responsive development environment.This SETA candidate will assist the government Program Manager (PM) and Lead Engineer to integrate security practices seamlessly into the software development lifecycle (SDLC), working closely with development and operations teams to develop security checks, review vulnerability assessments, and assess likelihood and mitigation of security threats for a delivered system, integrating cybersecurity practices throughout the SDLC while maintaining the agility of DevOps practices. You must apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts for highly classified systems, while also effectively communicating complex results with management and executive leadership. SETA Role and Responsibilities: * Assist the government PM and Lead Engineer with the SDLC Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives Act as a coach and mentor to the team on Agile and Scrum principles and best practices. Oversee the design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes * Develop requirements for and ensure delivery of Security integration into CI/CD pipeline, Code Review and Security Analysis, Infrastructure Security, Threat Modeling and Risk Assessment, and Vulnerability Management * Manage deployments to "Fences" cloud environments, ensuring they are secure and efficient. * Oversee the development and implementation of Amazon Web Services (AWS) data diode solutions for secure data transfer across different security domains Assist the government PM to integrate security into the CI/CD pipeline, code reviews, and infrastructure Ensure the quality of the program, project, or task deliverables meet or exceed standards or metrics and assess such deliverables to ensure that the final deliverables will meet the warfighting purpose for which they are intended Plans and performs engineering research, design development, and other engineering assignments in conformance with the design, engineering, and customer specifications Mentor and build expertise in DevSecOps principles, practices, and tools Supports design, interpretation, and analysis of technical solutions to complex discipline-specific testing Translate complex ideas and data into simple, actionable recommendations or easily differentiated courses of action Communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy-oral and written Qualifications* Required skills: Minimum ten (10) years DoD/IC, or relevant industry work experience Proven experience as a Scrum Master, DevOps Engineer, or in a similar role Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and DevSecOps principles Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and technologies (e.g., Git, Kubernetes) In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and experience with cloud security and deployment Experience with cybersecurity principles and tools, including firewalls, SIEM, and vulnerability scanners Experience with DoD acquisition to include documentation generation, presentation preparation, and supporting programmatic-focused discussions Proven experience and/or qualifications in requirement development for the DoD or IC Understanding of operational environment and corresponding mission user needs Knowledge of space system engineering, development, and manufacturing Experience in DoD program management including program development and transition Experience with Statements of Work (SOW) and Performance Work Statements (PWS) Desired skills: Five (5) years of relevant DoD and/or Industry work experience with SAP and/or SCI Experience with secure data transfer solutions and cross-domain technologies Relevant certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Experience with software testing for space vehicle and/or space ground systems System Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) to Government program office Experience with rapid prototyping and transition to operations Experience with integrated air, space, and cyberspace capabilities Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining ground mission planning architecture and software Experience with ACAT I/II level acquisition programs Experience using multivariable optimization in mission planning software systems Experience in planning and executing test campaigns for space systems Fluency with IC organizations Experience working in multiple classification environments and implementing cross-domain solutions Experience with online collaboration tools such as Confluence, SharePoint, and JIRA Experience with cloud computing tools, such as VMware, AWS, or Microsoft Azure Education Minimum Requirements: An applicable engineering degree from a program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) or possess a Professional Engineering license MA/MS/ME degree Clearance: Active TOP SECRET clearance with sensitive compartmentalized information (SCI) and special access program (SAP) eligibility (no less than 2 years total SAP and/or SCI environment experience, with 1-year total within last 5 years) and willingness to submit to a Counter-Intelligence polygraph Candidate must maintain a TS/SCI clearance as a condition of employment Location/Travel Requirements: Full-time, on site in vicinity of Kirtland AFB, NM, and will require travel up to 30% of time within the continental United States #LI-BG1 #MTSI #onsite Interesting Work:* Our co-workers support some of the most important and critical programs to our national defense and security.
