Basic Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or
* Master's degree or equivalent plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

As a seasoned leader, you'll be a subject matter expert in production planning and material requirements tools, sharing your knowledge with others in the organization. We'll rely on you to develop detailed schedules, production plans and capacity plans along with complex bills of material for large programs. The Advanced Manufacturing Planning Specialist will review work authorization documents and generate material program plans and coordinate kick-off meetings with functional departments to communicate program goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Supply Chain Management (SCM) buyers and Material Process Managers to support production needs.
  • Develop, load, and maintain the master production schedule for each factory to align with demand forecasts.
  • Communicate with Deputy Program Manager of Operations when schedule commitments cannot be met and provide updates as needed.
  • Identify and ensure designs and materials are ready on time to support production schedules.
  • Develops material proposal activities, manages material estimations & procurement documentation
  • Supports supply chain efforts, ensuring supplier performance & developing strategies to meet customer expectations.
  • Balance production schedules with available capacity.
  • Partner with work cells (factory planners) to ensure execution of the production schedule.
  • Adjust schedules to accommodate material shortages and ensure alignment with material receipt timelines.
  • Request additional capacity from work cells as necessary to meet production requirements.
  • Coordinate with total factory scheduling to resolve DPMO scheduling conflicts effectively.
  • Develop recovery plans or build-ahead strategies to balance total factory operations.
  • Prepare and present reports on scheduling performance and key metrics for management review.
  • Manage the incorporation of Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) into the production process.

What you bring to the table:
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree or equivalent plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Effective risk management skills to identify and implement risk reduction plan
  • Ability to coordinate the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production and engineering
  • Skilled at complex negotiations with customers and/or suppliers

Target salary range: USD $86,850.00/Yr. - USD $93,975.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
