Description

QUALIFICATIONS:

* A Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field, or a foreign equivalency; plus

* Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing environment working as an engineer or any related occupation;

* Minimum 2 years of experience in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement; and

* Minimum 3 years of experience in AutoCAD and SolidWorks Software.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

* Support New Part Release process through design manufacturability review, process selection, routing for cost roll up, documentation of issues and their resolution, prototype builds monitoring, etc.;

* Initiate/support process improvements through process mapping/value stream analysis, equipment sourcing, workstation layout design, lean tools such as 5S and Kaizen events, time studies, root cause analysis, design of fixtures/equipment updates;

* Develop/sustain electronic work instructions as needed, operator training, coordinate update of engineering drawings and BOM's;

* Support Robust Production Equipment Preventive Maintenance Program through creation of PM checklists for new assets, roll out to Supervisor, etc.;

* Special projects as needed such as assist the Sales, Engineering, Project Management and Installation teams with new product development an R&D.
