We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit on a full-time basis. This position requires a commitment through the holiday season, with no guaranteed requested time off for the three major holidays.


Schedule

ICU Day/Night Rotation: 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. / 7 p.m. - 7 a.m. Full-time day/night/weekend holiday rotation.


Certifications

  • Required: ACLS, BLS, PALS (AHA/RQI certifications only), NIHSS
  • Preferred: Certification by the Emergency Nurses Association within 2 years of hire. TNCC recommended within 2 years of hire.


License

Currently licensed by NYS as a registered professional nurse.


Additional Requirements

  • BLS, ACLS, PALS required through the RQI system during clinical orientation.
  • Basic Coronary Care certification within 6 months of hire.
  • CPI certification within 90 days of hire.


Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and interact professionally and courteously with people.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and enhance teamwork through effective role modeling.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Computer literacy is required, with preferred experience in Microsoft Office products and electronic medical records.

Patient Care

The staff member must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on their assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development across the lifespan and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status. This includes interpreting the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to their age-specific needs and providing the care needed by pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient groups.
