HOK, a global architecture, design, engineering, and planning firm, is seeking a Design Technology Specialist to join our Corporate Advanced Technology Group. This hybrid position is based in our New York City office, with an on-site presence required three days per week. As a Design Technology Specialist, you will play a key role in advancing the firm's digital practice by supporting project teams, shaping innovative workflows, and applying specialized design technology expertise across a wide variety of disciplines. You'll help ensure that our teams are equipped with the tools, resources, and technical insight needed to deliver worldclass projects efficiently and creatively. Key responsibilities include:
Design Technology Specialists support discipline specific workflows by developing standardized Revit assets, improving model based design processes, and performing advanced modeling or analysis. This may include architectural performance studies (massing, enclosures, egress, sustainability), MEP or structural systems modeling, energy or daylight analysis, CFD, fabrication ready modeling, or interoperability with engineering analysis tools. What kind of education and experience are required?
We'd also like someone who has experience with scripting or automation tools (e.g., Python, Dynamo, Grasshopper), and experience with visualization, simulation, or analysis platforms (AR/VR, CFD, energy modeling, daylighting tools, etc). LEED Green Associate or LEED AP accreditation is preferred. #LI-BH1 Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, education and location. The typical salary range for this position is $75,000 - $85,000. Many of our roles require the use of specific software. Please refer to the Required and Preferred Software & Skills for details.
