Job Summary
The IT Project Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing cost- and resource-loaded schedules for large-scale information technology projects. This role supports effective project planning and execution by ensuring schedules align with established standards and governance procedures. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and close collaboration with project managers, financial analysts, and stakeholders to deliver accurate, forward-looking insights that support on-time and on-budget project delivery. Job Responsibilities
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
Perform schedule analysis, dependency management, and integration across assigned workstreams.
Incorporate cost- and resource-loaded data into schedules in accordance with governance standards.
Collaborate with project managers, team leads, and stakeholders to gather inputs and adjust scheduling parameters.
Maintain scheduling databases, including templates and active, proposed, and completed schedules.
Partner with project managers and financial analysts to align schedules with project financial forecasts.
Provide forward-looking schedule analysis, status updates, and reporting to leadership.
Evaluate schedule performance, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
Establish, track, and report baseline and current schedule status to communicate project progress.
Conduct critical path analysis and schedule audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Support estimate-to-complete (ETC) and earned value analysis activities.
Participate in project meetings, document action items, and communicate scheduling impacts to milestones.
Adhere to established scheduling standards, methodologies, and best practices.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
Minimum of five years of project scheduling experience using Primavera P6.
Strong knowledge of project management principles and PMO processes.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact with senior leadership.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.
Experience with capital project management and project controls.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection requirements.
