Summary:

The Director of Operations - Pediatrics reports to the Vice President of the Children's Service Line and works in close partnership with the Chair of Pediatrics. This role provides operational leadership for the Pediatrics Department, with responsibility for resource management and procurement, program development and coordination, implementation of strategic initiatives, and oversight of day-to-day operations. The Director also serves as an operational resource to departments supporting pediatric care and acts as a key liaison for the Pediatrics Department, fostering cross-departmental partnerships to ensure efficient operations and promote a culture of collaboration and teamwork.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: Knowledge of healthcare and operations management at a level normally required through the completion of a Master's in Health Management, Business Administration or related field.
2. License/Certification: N/A
3. Experience: A minimum of five to seven (5-7) years' experience at a comparable level of responsibility in an organizational setting of similar complexity, preferably health care related.
4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Demonstrated interpersonal skills necessary to communicate, collaborate and partner effectively with all levels of staff, management, and external partners and stakeholders. Demonstrated leadership experience with a high level of organizational skills, and proven ability to supervise and support staff performance and development. Demonstrated analytic, problem solving and strategic planning expertise.
