Position in this function is responsible for professional nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients under the supervision of a clinician and operations manager. Delegates tasks as needed to professionals and para-professional employees. Coordinates activities and works closely with clinicians and staff to maintain efficient department functions and ensure successful operation of the department. Responsible for performing operational duties as required under the supervision of the site operations manager or designee. This position will be working with our team at 2405 Research Pkwy.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Performs various simple to moderately complex tasks, comprehensive patient assessments, tests, and procedures within scope of practice of a Registered Nurse
  • Ensures clinic compliance with Optum Practice Health and Safety Standards at all times
  • Provides remediation when necessary for deficient Optum Practice Health and Safety Standards and reports/coordinates with designated RN Assessor
  • Administers medication and other therapeutic modalities within the scope of practice of a Registered Nurse
  • Collects, labels, and transports various specimens to appropriate destinations
  • Performs telephone screening, triage, and advises patient care under the direction of a licensed clinician
  • Maintains clinical standards outlined in the clinical operations policies and procedures manual. Identifies deficiencies and recommends changes
  • Documents and maintains records of medical and nursing procedures
  • Ensures adequate levels of supplies are maintained
  • Coordinates with clinicians and ancillary departments to plan daily work assignments according to staff abilities, clinician and patient schedules, patient flow and procedures
  • Directs patients to appropriate levels of care and authorizes outside services
  • Serve as a mentor for new medical assistants to ensure competency with all required skills
  • Teach and document annual skills competencies to existing medical assistant staff

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing
  • Current unrestricted active RN license in Colorado
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (AHA) or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer (American Red Cross)
  • 1+ years of experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • AAACN
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to concurrently perform multiple tasks

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $28.94 to $51.63 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
