The Business Analyst II position exists to support our Oracle software and third-party software investments, while also continuously improving those technologies, to ensure they are functioning at peak performance. The position focuses on safeguarding company processes, interfaces and reports that deliver financial or business information.

The analyst regularly collects financial process improvement requirements, conducts detailed analyses, and assists with solution design for the Source to Pay track modules. This is in part, completed by acting as a liaison between business process owner/system users and the technology resources responsible for system development. Notably, the analyst works closely with our global SBS (Share Business Services) clients, along with global divisional financial team members within this process. This position works mid to large-size projects as well as supports specific applications/processes. During projects, the Business Analyst II will be expected to lead and participate in meetings and present findings/requirements to their partners.

This role provides primary support in several modules of the Oracle eBusiness suite and/or other business applications, as well as serving as backup for other modules or business applications as supported by the team. The position provides support through coordination with all business users and owners for production processes; tracks support tickets, supports enhancements, provides training and ensures testing completion in non-production instances prior to migrating any changes into production.

The Business Analyst II functions mostly independently while supporting their assigned applications and projects. The role will also supervise one intern, which includes managing their work, as well as professional development. This position will at times, collaborate with our BPI Supervisor as needed, delegate work to their intern, and complete cross training with other team members to ensure coverage within the group.

Because this role involves access to confidential financial information, the Company has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and to provide similar protections for its clients and potential investments.

This role is not Hybrid or Remote and will report to our Cleveland OH office.

WHAT THE ROLE WILL DO:

Supervise and Lead

  • Intern including hiring, promoting and mentoring, training, and discipline.

  • Set employee objectives, monitor and evaluate performance and provide feedback and mentoring.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Provide timely responses to functional user questions/problems for the Oracle and business applications supported.

  • Generate and assist with timely help ticket resolution for the Source to Pay Oracle modules and business applications.

  • Preserve efficient operation of the Source to Pay Oracle modules and business applications through appropriate testing, configuring and patching/upgrading.

  • Support the Source to Pay Oracle modules and business applications improvement process by prioritizing and addressing functional user concerns through development of appropriate functional and technical solutions.

  • Support rollouts of existing S2P track Oracle modules or business applications to other operating units, as well as new S2P track modules Oracle modules or business applications as approved.

Process Improvement

  • Drive continuous improvement in order to provide better support for our clients, reduce costs and maximize the efficient use of resources.

  • Identify process improvement opportunities; define improvement requirements; conduct detailed analysis; support solution design; support project coordination; act as a liaison between the business and development resources; and support the communication/training efforts related to process changes.

  • Use transactional lean or other continuous improvement tools consistently

  • Utilize the use of automation tools such as AI, RPA, and Microsoft flow to enhance the customer experience.

Strategy & Planning

  • Analyze, document, and improve existing or new workflows, processes and standards.

  • Facilitate meetings and follow up with resulting action items.

  • Seek opportunities continuously to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.

Acquisition and Deployment

  • Act as a liaison between business units, technology teams and support teams.

  • Provide guidance concern business implications of application(s) supported.

  • Communicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions where needed.

Technical & Testing

  • Understand our various company business applications, their client/server architectures as well as the development, quality assurance and production environments. Understand how legacy and new systems interface with each other.

  • Define test conditions. Develop accurate and complete test plans. Conduct testing according to plan.

Operational Management

  • Establish effective working relationship with clients. Value internal and external clients and responds to their needs as they arise.

  • Provide training and documentation for supported applications.

  • Prepare, review and edit requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution within the group.

  • Provide application and business process knowledge. Train and mentor other business analysts as required.

  • Facilitate team, technical and client meetings.

Required:

Knowledge & Experience

  • 3+ years' experience in business analysis, systems support, or technology roles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand complex processes and propose solutions.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work with cross-functional teams and present findings clearly.
  • Experience learning new tools and technologies quickly and adapting to changing business needs.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Oracle eBusiness Suite preferred) or similar enterprise applications.
  • Experience with requirements gathering, documentation, and testing in support of system enhancements or projects.
  • Basic understanding of process improvement methodologies (Lean, automation tools like RPA or Microsoft Flow is a plus).
  • Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable facilitating meetings and coordinating action items.

Education: Required

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Accounting, Finance, or IT.

Preferred:

  • 4+ years' experience in business analysis, systems support, or technology roles supporting ERP financial applications such as Oracle.
  • Possess advanced S-W business knowledge including Global SW structure, business processes, operations and goals.

  • MBA or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or IT.

Technical Skills

  • Possess a basic to intermediate understanding of ERP systems and their functionality - Oracle required.
  • Experience working with cross functional applications Microsoft Suite experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Supported system upgrades, enhancements, or rollouts of a business application(s) preferred
