You will be responsible for:

  • Leading the review of contractor and supplier invoices to ensure accuracy, correct coding, and compliance with contract terms, approved rates, and defined scope of work.

  • Verifying and validating supporting documentation, including timesheets, progress reports, cost back-up, and milestone evidence, to confirm alignment with agreed deliverables.

  • Identifying invoice discrepancies, variances, or non-compliances and proactively working with internal teams and contractors to resolve issues efficiently and professionally.

  • Overseeing invoice tracking, maintaining complete audit documentation, and ensuring systems are updated to support audit readiness and accurate financial reporting.

  • Supporting and coordinating monthly project billing cycles in close collaboration with project controls, procurement, contracts, and finance teams.

  • Analyzing trends, recurring issues, or potential risks in invoicing practices and recommending practical, value-adding improvements to strengthen controls and consistency.

  • Helping ensure adherence to Worley's financial, contractual, and ethical standards while fostering constructive working relationships with contractors and internal stakeholders.

  • Communicating clearly and confidently with project teams, providing guidance and influence on invoice-related decisions and interpretations when required.

  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives by sharing lessons learned and supporting enhancements to procedures, templates, systems, and tools.

What you'll bring to the role
  • A university degree in a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Typically 5+ years' experience in invoice auditing, contract administration, project accounting, procurement, or a related commercial function.

  • Strong attention to detail with proven ability to interpret complex commercial documentation, contract terms, and cost structures.

  • Experience working with financial, contract management, or enterprise systems, with the ability to adapt quickly to new tools and processes.

  • The confidence and judgment to challenge inconsistencies, seek clarification, and recommend practical solutions within established governance frameworks.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and external partners.

  • A structured and organized approach to managing multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders in a dynamic project environment.

  • Curiosity, reliability, and a demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
