Position Summary The Endoscopy Technician/GI Tech works as a team member and is responsible for providing support to the Gastroenterology Clinics by cleaning, sterilizing, performing high level disinfection, and packaging instruments, maintaining inventory, transporting supplies and equipment, meeting and greeting patients and their families, taking routine vital signs, and preparing rooms before and after procedures and clinic visits. This position works under direct supervision of the GI Clinic nurse manager or designee. Responsibilities Sets up procedures in appropriate departments Keeps adequate stock of supplies Assists the physician Collaborates with other departments to ensure all equipment for procedures is available and in good working condition Observes and reports changes to patient's condition Provides education to patient and families/support person as needed Facilitates ethical plan of care Requirements High School graduate or equivalent preferred BLS Certification required Current Washington State CNA License required (Current employee in this classification as of 8/10/24, without a CNA license prior are not required to have this license) One (1) year of experience preferred, including in charge entry and order entry About Capital Medical Center MultiCare Capital Medical Center is a 107-bed community hospital providing award-winning care to Olympia and surrounding communities. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $24.01 - $39.68 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
