FTE: 0.8 (32 Hours), Shift: Day, Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm

Join our Speech Language Pathology team at Children's Village! Our SLP Team is comprised of a diverse group of dedicated professionals that incorporate many general and specialty lines of service. We have a strong mentorship program and encourage new graduates and those looking for Clinical Fellowship.

Our team enjoys the following aspects of working:

  • Serve children 0-18 years of age.
  • Provide in-person services in the outpatient clinic setting as well as in the home/community settings. Pending experience, services may also be provided in the hospital.
  • As part of our Early Supports for Infants and Toddlers Program (ESIT) team there are educational opportunities to further skills in relationship-based practice.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team of OTs, PTs, SLPs, early childhood educators, nurses, and behavioral therapists.
  • Paid mileage reimbursement.
  • Premiums may be available for bilingual candidates

Position Summary

The Speech Pathologist is an exciting opportunity at MultiCare, providing clinical services and communication with patients, families, and other professionals/service providers in the medical community. This professional position will allow you to apply your extensive knowledge and expertise in of speech pathology with all of your patients.

Responsibilities

  • You will provide assessment, interpretation, and reporting of clinical observations
  • You will perform patient assessments with physician and develop treatment plans
  • You will perform and interpret results of Videofluoroscpic swallow studies and fiberoptic endoscopic of swallowing
  • You will confer with physician and other health care professionals

Requirements

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Hearing-Language Association OR be in the process of completing a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) with supervision by a CCC-SLP in accordance with standards defined by the ASHA
  • Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the State of Washington or holding an interim permit
  • Current BLS Certification required
  • Previous Experience as a Speech Language Pathologist preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $42.98 - $65.15 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
