Job Description




As a Security Officer - Hospital Entrance Patrol in Willoughby, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, staying visible to help to deter security-related incidents and support a welcoming atmosphere for staff, patients, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, deliver outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly while upholding our values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity in a caring, people-first environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify any unusual situations.
  • Observe and report any security-related irregularities, including property damage, theft, or the presence of unauthorized persons.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and helping to maintain a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management, site staff, and emergency responders as required.
  • Document incidents and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
  • Support the enforcement of site rules and regulations, providing guidance to visitors and staff as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proof of vaccination is required for hospital assignments.
  • Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
