Senior Data Engineer - Focused on Snowflake Data ArchitecturesThis role will be responsible for building, migrating, optimizing and maintaining Snowflake environments for this organization.This is a unique opportunity in that you can be a part of ahigh growth fintech company in Raleigh with plans for substantial growth for both the company and the individuals in it.This role is Hybrid and Requires candidates to be onsite 3 days a week in the Durham office. Key Responsibilities
  • Architect, implement and integrate Snowflake-based lakehouse architectures from scratch.
    • Configure and manage Snowflake accounts, resource monitors, virtual warehouses, and access controls.
    • Apply best practices for data partitioning, clustering, and caching to improve performance and reduce costs.
    • Automate ingestion pipelines, metadata handling, and system health checks across the ecosystem
  • Utilize SQL forqueries, stored procedures, and data processes.
  • Partner on Data Governance Needs
  • Support CI/CD processes and automate deployments and pipelines.
Required Qualification:
  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake projects - from scratch and migration.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python
  • ELT/ETL experience
  • Experience with RESTful API's
  • Experience with cloud ecosystems (Azure, AWS)
  • Utilization of orchestration tools (DBT, Airflow).
  • Strong background in Agile and DevOps practices, including automation and pipeline deployment.
  • Plus if you:
    • are familiarwith insurance or financial data governance.
    • hold Certifications such as SnowPro Core or relevant cloud certifications are desirable.
    • Financial Services / Insurance Industry Experience
