Now Hiring Quality Engineer Livermore, CA Pay Rate: $28.25 per hour Shift: Monday - Friday, 1 PM - 9:30 PM \| Some mandatory Saturdays required Every Shift, Every Part, Done Right Join the team as a Quality Engineer in Livermore and make sure the line runs clean and steady. You'll inspect, test, and approve every part that keeps production rolling strong. What It Takes: Schooling: High school diploma or GED preferred. Sharp Eyes: You notice what others overlook. Physical Ability: Stay on your feet, handle materials safely, and keep pace with the crew. Team Mentality: Reliable, steady, and proud to be part of a crew that values doing things right. What You'll Do: Check the interaction of individual components and component groups to ensure functionality. View test plans and drawing documentation, and identify and record any quality concerns. Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions to assure defect-free quality, conduct cause analysis, and develop solutions in problem cases. Conducts first-piece approvals where appropriate and sorts out defective parts, considering specific requirements. Effectively communicate with supervisors any problems with safety, quality, equipment, or productivity. Support and maintain good housekeeping using the 6S principles, be cooperative with co-workers to maintain a good working environment, and maintain all appropriate quality records. Perform audits and quality inspections, serve on cross-functional teams to ensure the continuous improvement of quality, and conduct and assist in re-work where appropriate. Assist in defect tracking and the APQP process, be active with participation in all company activities and programs, and perform any other duties as assigned.
