The successful candidate will assist with the instruction and facilitation of upper- and lower-division teacher education courses, including methods courses, mild/moderate special education courses, professional seminars, classroom management, and foundational education and special education courses. The following disciplines meet the requirements to teach in this field: A master's degree or higher in any of the following areas is within the teaching field: Masters of Arts, Masters of Education: Education Elementary, Education, Secondary +discipline, Educational Leadership, Educational Leadership and Innovation, Educational Administration, Higher Education, Administration and Supervision, Teacher Leadership, Instructional Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction, Curriculum Leadership, Educational Policy, Educational Management, English as a Second Language, Teaching and Learning, Multicultural Education, Culturally Responsive Education, Educational Technology, Educational Psychology, Literacy Education/Reading, Language Education, Music Education, Physical Education, Art Education, Theatre Education, Dance Education, Special Education, Gifted Education, World Language Education, Early Childhood Education, English Language Learning, English as a Second Language, Bilingual Education Desired Qualifications A. Five or more years' recent (within last five years) experience teaching K-12 students in a school setting B. Prior experience in school leadership or in the supervision/evaluation of teachers (vice principal, principal, instructional coach, department chair, etc.) C. Experience in developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with partnering school sites, colleagues, faculty, and/or administration. D. Evidence of hybrid instruction that incorporates current teaching methodologies and/or technologies. E. The ability to work with a wide range of students using a variety of adult learning methods in modalities such as online, hybrid and in-person. F. Evidence of curriculum design and/or instructional efforts aligning with learning outcomes. G. Experience mentoring and/or training novice teachers in K-12 and special education settings.
