Responsibilities

  • Interviews, hires and trains clinicians and support staff in Newport Healthcare's clinical model, treatment philosophy, policies and procedures, and standardized protocols.
  • Assigns caseloads and supervises clinical staff in the delivery of therapeutic services to teens and families.
  • Carries a caseload of clients and/or families as required, based on census, and/or as needed to cover clinical absences or vacancies
  • Oversees admissions including, but not limited to screening, assessment, intake, orientation, and treatment planning.
  • In collaboration with the director, develops and monitors the clinical program schedule to ensure adequate coverage in compliance with payer requirements.
  • Facilitates Parent Support Groups and Multi-Family Process Groups and other therapy groups as needed.
  • Intervenes and assists as needed with crisis prevention, crisis intervention and crisis management.
  • Oversees the timely completion of assessments, treatment plans, and clinical documentation of clinical team, including chart audits.
  • Facilitates weekly group supervision of clinicians and individual supervision as needed.
  • Facilitates weekly treatment team meeting.
  • Supervises outside clinical independent contractors, fielding questions and providing feedback, ensuring compliance with internal standards.
  • Consults routinely with Psychiatrist and outside consultants on an as needed basis.
  • Participates in the QA and UR activities as needed, including conducting peer-to-peer reviews as required.
  • Oversees discharge planning including coordination of administrative discharges and referrals to a higher level of care.
  • Upholds responsibilities in accordance with corporate policies, licensing regulations, and applicable laws.
  • Audits electronic clinical documentation including, but not limited to, assessment, treatment plan, discharge summary, individual and group notes.
  • Represents Newport Academy in community meetings, conferences, trainings and presentations

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree required, preferably degree at the doctorate level, from an accredited or state approved graduate school.
  • Licensed in Marriage Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work is required in the state in which you are applying.
  • Experience in providing family therapy with adolescents and parents
  • Willingness to be trained, supervised and provide services within the framework of Attachment-Based Family Therapy.
  • Training or experience in trauma-informed treatment preferred.
  • One-year supervisory experience required.
