What to Expect
As a member of the Reliability and Test team, you will supportClosureengineeringeffortstoidentifyand characterize failure modesatcomponentlevel and vehicle level. Your role willbe to implementfirmwarethat supports closure prototyping, early-stage buck retrofits, and integrated vehicle level testing.
What You'll Do
- Guided by firmware change requests from reliability and test engineering, work collaboratively withrespectivemechanical andfirmware development teams,to support various stages of closure support
- Modify existing vehicle firmware to widen protective limits preventing abuse testing,eliminatedependencies on endpoints that may not be present in test applications, and implement on-demandadjustmentsas necessary
- Interpret firmware requests and independentlyidentify,locate, andmake necessarymodifications.Work with requestersonverification and iterative improvements
- Working with mechanical design engineering on proof-of-concept changes,assistthe firmwareimplementation on small to large scale evaluation, and eventually cutintoproduction
- Deliver functional C code in a real-time embedded environment with expediency
- Hands-onmechatronicsystem debugging in a test environment
What You'll Bring
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, ComputerScienceor equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience in embedded development in robotics, real-time controls, or system software
- Fluent in software fundamentals including software designandmaintainability
- Familiar withrevision control with Git
- Capable ofreading and interpreting PCBA schematics for developing and troubleshooting firmware.
- Proficiencyin Cprogramming in embedded, RTOS system.Familiarity with MISRAC aplus
- Good fundamentals in physics.Knowledgeinmechanical engineeringa plus. Test driven development and familiarity with developer driven automated testing
- Ability to collaborate and communicate complex technical conceptsacross design,firmwareand manufacturing counterparts
- Knowledge inelectronic/firmware control of various motor types, including linear / rotary actuators, brushless DC motors, etc.
- Knowledgeofinverter firmware, voltage/current control, feedback system a plus

Expected Compensation
$88,000 - $168,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
