As a Security Officer - Armed Shopping Center Patrol in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer in a retail environment, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming atmosphere. You will interact with visitors and staff, deliver exceptional customer service, and respond to situations as they arise. This is an armed post, where you will represent Allied Universal's values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity while contributing to a secure and positive location experience.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or potential threats.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and key areas within the location to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
• Document and report any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or emergencies according to site protocols.
• Work collaboratively with site staff and local authorities as needed to address security-related concerns.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and adapt to varying working environments and conditions specific to the retail location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Level III Armed Certification Texas only required.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
