Security Officer - Mall Patrol

As a Security Officer - Mall Patrol in Albany, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents through routine patrols and high visibility. You will interact with guests and staff, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, requiring you to navigate the property as needed. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and tenants by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order within the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall environment and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and provide a visible Allied Universal presence.
• Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols to the appropriate personnel.
• Support access control procedures by monitoring entrances, exits, and restricted areas as required by site-specific guidelines.
• Assist with crowd management and/or line control during peak business hours or special events within the location.
• Document all incidents and/or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal and client protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• State, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
