As a Security Officer - Armed Perm Hospital Detail in Lakeland, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location. In this role, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns as needed. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and judgment to address issues as they arise.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify any potential concerns.
• Monitor for suspicious behavior and/or unauthorized access, reporting any incidents according to established protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to staff and visitors at the location.
• Document incidents and/or unusual occurrences in detailed reports, maintaining accurate records as required by Allied Universal and the client.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed during critical events or emergencies.
• Adhere to all company and site-specific policies, procedures, and protocols while performing security-related duties.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience.
• Possess a corrections officer license.
• Possess a law enforcement officer license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
