Security Officer - Entry Control

As a Security Officer - Commercial Entry Control in Salinas, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with building visitors and tenants, providing outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering or exiting the location to help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors, tenants, and/or staff with security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Document and report security-related incidents and observations according to Allied Universal protocols.
• Support emergency response activities as appropriate for the location.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and/or emergency personnel as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
