We are seeking an experienced Firmware Engineer with a solid journeyman-level expertise to support engineering and analysis ofDoD systems. This role involves contributing to the design, analysis, simulation, synthesis, verification, validation, and integration of complex embedded and FPGA-based systems. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with hardware and software teams to review requirements, test procedures, firmware-related documentation, and to ensure robust Verification & Validation of system-level firmware designs.

Responsibilities include verifying HDL designs using constrained randomization, functional and code coverage, and SystemVerilog Assertions. The selected engineer will also collaborate with multi-disciplined engineering team to verify, validate, and analyze system architectures, hardware interfaces, system specifications, and ensure the integrity of overall system firmware designs. This position also provides opportunities to mentor junior firmware engineers.

Required

• ABET accredited degree
• Minimum 5years of task related experience
• Knowledge of Unified Verification Methodology (UVM) and how to apply it to verification efforts
• Experience with VHDL and/or Verilog
• Minimal travel
• Must have an in-scope DoD Secret clearance

Desired

• Knowledge of embedded Linux environments
• FPGA programming and debug tools experience
• Experience with tools such as Synplify, and/or Questa ModelSim/QuestaSim
• Bash/Shell Scripting and/or Python experience
• Expertise writing System Verilog Assertions (SVAs)
• Experience with Missile Systems firmware V&V
