Basic Qualifications

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.


Responsibilities for this Position

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

As a systems engineer for the TIOS-II program, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for designing, implementing, and integrating advanced hardware platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of advanced systems, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and reliability requirements.
  • Conduct system requirements analysis and develop detailed specifications.
  • Perform system integration, verification, and validation activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, and test engineers, to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Participate in project planning, scheduling, and status reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and tools.

  • Hands-on experience in all aspects of hardware system level and unit level requirements analysis, design, manufacturing, build-out, integration and test, and field deployment
  • Size, Weight and Power analysis (SWAP)
  • Electrical, mechanical, and cabling element design
  • Scheduling of tasking and coordination with machinists, technicians, and assemblers
  • Management of machine shop equipment and safety compliance
  • Computer Aided Design (AutoCAD, Solidworks, CREO, ProE)
  • Creating and updating hardware and software user documentation and testing documentation
  • Coordination and briefing to customer points of contact

Target salary range: USD $139,189.00/Yr. - USD $150,000.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
