General Function:

The Inventory Control Manager is accountable for developing, leading, and continuously improving the company's end-to-end inventory control framework. This includes oversight of all physical verification activities, systemic monitoring, risk mitigation strategies, and compliance requirements. The role drives inventory accuracy and integrity across raw materials, finished goods, MRO, and subcontracted inventory. Working cross-functionally with manufacturing, planning, and finance, this leader ensures risks are identified, communicated, and proactively addressed.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Ensure compliance with corporate cycle count policy and lead the execution and optimization of physical inventory processes across all inventory locations.
  • Define, document, and optimize inventory movement processes between warehouse, manufacturing, subcontractors, ensuring accurate and efficient material flow for raw materials, finished goods, and MRO.
  • Maintain and improve inventory control processes such as virtual/temp location aging, 999 audits, floor audits, bin accuracy, and bin audit protocols.
  • Develop and implement inventory control strategies that mitigate risk, enhance visibility, and align with operational and financial objectives.
  • Own the communication and escalation process for all inventory-related risks or discrepancies across the organization. (Lost & Found, Subcontracting)
  • Lead and develop the inventory control team, setting performance standards, KPIs, and providing coaching and training to support growth and accountability.
  • Foster a culture of inventory ownership, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and improve the effectiveness of cycle counts, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to minimize variance, leveraging SAP to monitor inventory transactions, data accuracy, and system-driven controls.
  • Partner with internal audit and external auditors (e.g., PwC) to support annual and ad hoc audit requirements.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives through automation, reporting enhancements, and best practice adoption.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between inventory control and key stakeholders including operations, planning, procurement, finance, and IT.
  • Support and lead initiatives related to new product introductions, material transfers, and system upgrades that impact inventory processes.
  • Monitor and report on inventory KPIs (e.g., inventory accuracy, cycle count compliance, shrinkage, audit readiness).


Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, Operations Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in inventory control, warehouse, or distribution operations, including experience in a leadership or managerial capacity.
  • Deep understanding of inventory control principles, warehouse operations, and materials management.
  • Proficient in SAP or equivalent ERP systems, with strong Excel/data analysis capabilities.
  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to manage large teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • High level of learning agility and a proactive mindset toward continuous improvement.



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with SAP DWM
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles related to inventory valuation and cost flows.
  • APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP) or Lean Six Sigma credentials.

Pay Range: $89,375.70 - $128,431.62

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package. Benefits may include health care, retirement savings, paid time off/vacation, and various employee discounts.
