Job Role and Responsibility: AMD, Inc., is hiring PMTS IT Engineer to Research, design, develop, and/or test operating systems-level software, compilers, and/or network distribution software for semiconductor operations. Lead and implement various software projects to help operate AMD's global network in an efficient, resilient, and performant manner. Build automation, observability, and analytics solutions for its global network infrastructure. Design and implement database schemas and backend architectures to support new application development, ensuring scalability and high performance. Architect, design, and implement next generation deployment architecture and automation and observability solutions for network provisioning, configuration management, monitoring and troubleshooting. Bring innovations with focus on Artificial Intelligence and champion AMD-on-AMD approach to Network infrastructure and operations. Collaborate with other teams to leverage components and technologies for faster development and rollouts. Design and develop frameworks and libraries to automate product deployment and testing processes at scale. Design and execute comprehensive testing strategies. Lead and mentor team members in the design, development, and deployment of software solutions, providing technical guidance for ongoing and future releases. Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various AMD products.

Qualifications: Degree required

Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field.

Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: Five (5) year of experience in the job offered or closely related Engineering role.

Alternate combination of education and experience: Employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field and seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering occupation.

Specific skills required: The following skills are required:

Position requires five (5) years of experience in the following:

• Frontend and Backend software development in HTML, CSS, Java Script, and Java;
• Performing software testing and debugging in macOS, Linux, or Unix;
• Automation tools, frameworks, and languages: Ansible, Terraform, and Python;
• Developing monitoring dashboards for scaled deployments;
• CI/CD Pipeline Integration in Kubernetes, Git, or Jenkins;
• Private and public cloud infrastructure and interfacing programmatically through APIs;
• Unix or Linux environments;
• MS SQL server and SQL;
• Object Oriented design and multi-threading; and
• Data Structures.
