JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS The Meteorology Department and Professor Greg Jenkins are seeking a person who will serve as a part-time administrative assistant for the NSF-funded GEOENV program. This program connects undergraduates and high school students at Penn State University campuses (University Park, Penn State Harrisburg, Penn State Schuykill) and Medgar Evers College with a research mentor during the academic year. Students present a final research project at a symposium in April. The assistant will work with the PI and CO-PI of the grant to ensure that program objects and goals are achieved. Responsibilities include:
Required skills include good written and oral communication skills; use of Microsoft office products; ability to work with a broad range of participants (high school students/teachers, undergraduate students, PSU faculty). Compensation: 15.00/hr Approximately 10 hours per week.
