The Opportunity

DAT is seeking an extremely detailed and experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead our AP department in Beaverton, OR.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of full-cycle accounts payable, possess strong leadership skills, and be ready to take full ownership of the AP function. This is a critical role that will be instrumental in integrating the AP processes of newly acquired entities and ensuring the department operates with maximum efficiency and accuracy.

What You'll Do



  • ERP System Implementation: We are currently in the selection process for a new ERP system, and this role will be instrumental in the implementation. You will serve as a key stakeholder, providing crucial input to lead the design and configuration of the AP function within the new system.
  • Department Ownership: Lead, manage, and mentor the accounts payable team, overseeing all daily operations and ensuring the timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports.
  • Acquisition Integration: Play a lead role in the financial integration of newly acquired entities, harmonizing their AP policies and procedures with our existing systems to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Process Management:


    • Manage the full-cycle AP process, including vendor onboarding and invoice processing and credit card reconciliation.
    • Review and approve all invoices and payments (ACH, wire, checks), ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policy.
    • Manage the end-to-end virtual credit card process, from reviewing and approving all requests to issuing cards with appropriate controls.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and GAAP standards.
    • Oversee the accurate and timely coding of invoices and payments to the general ledger.


  • Reporting & Reconciliation:


    • Prepare and review period-end accruals and reconciliations for accounts payable and related accounts.
    • Complete and reconcile all prepaid expenses
    • Generate and analyze various AP reports to monitor performance and identify trends.


  • Vendor and Stakeholder Relations: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors and collaborate with internal departments to resolve payment issues and ensure accurate financial information.


The Skills and Experience You'll Bring



  • 10+ years of direct, hands-on accounts payable experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role, demonstrating a solid understanding of debits, credits, and the general ledger.
  • Strong preference for experience in the SaaS industry or with subscription-based business models.
  • Prior experience in a management or supervisory role leading an AP team is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and AP automation tools (e.g., Stampli, Tropic).
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

For Oregon-based candidates, in compliance with Oregon's Pay Equity and Transparency Act (effective January 2024), the salary range for this role is $80,000 - $105,000. DAT considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education and training, core skills, internal equity, and market and business elements when extending an offer.
